Avocado Rose on Toast
Just for FUN! Playing with my food this morning!
Makes 2 servings
- 1 medium-ripe avocado
- 2 slices of rye bread
- Toppings: toasted sesame seeds, chili flakes, almond flakes, cherry tomatoes.
Halve a (not too soft and not too hard) avocado, pit it andremove the peel very carefully.
Place the half with the cut-side facing down on a work spaceor cutting board.
Slice the avocado lengthwise very finely, leaving the whole shape of the avocado half intact as much as possible.
Start to shape the avocado into a lengthy, snake like line by pushing the individual slices outwards and sideways withyour fingers. Carefully achieving a stretched out kind of line.
You can leave more space between your slices if possible and if desired, so your rose will get bigger andhave more loops.
Start on one end of the snake and roll up the end in an inward motion.
Again, with your hands. Continue therolling up until you have a full rose.
Place your avocado rose carefully on the rye slices.
Sprinkle your favorite toppings.
